Q There are 3 parts to respond to for your personal testimony, which should be ~5 pages, double-spaced. (If you find that your testimony requires more than 5 pages, please feel free to write more). Here are the guidelines for completing your personal testimony: 1. The message based on Scripture yields sound theology -- How have God, Jesus, Spirit, Salvation, Grace/Works, Sin, Satan, etc. impacted your life? Include Scripture references. What biblical truths did God use to draw you to himself, to a saving knowledge of Christ? Too often testimonies are shared based on just experience and feelings and don't include the truths that are found in Scripture that God allowed you to "see." This part should be about 1-1½ pages long. 2. Your personal story -- Where have you been? How did the Lord call you to Himself? How is your identity continuing to be shaped in the image of the Lord? What is your present level of intimacy with Him? This part should be about 2-2½ pages long. 3. Personal Spiritual Timeline -- Using any format, compose a timeline that identifies specific times when God got your attention. These could be seasons or events in your life that were difficult, ecstatic, or tragic. Identify these "markers" on a timeline with a brief comment on each. Oftentimes, students say they "almost forgot" some of these moments when now in retrospect, they can see God's faithfulness. This need only be one page. Submit this assignment by 11:59 on the due date and be sure to place your last name in the document name first. THANKS!!!
